I can live without Flash, big fricken deal. If the iPad's sales are decent, people will just start creating iPad versions of their websites.
Apple-approved apps only - fine with me. I don't like sifting through all the crapware that's on the web anyway. I switched to a Mac for a mindless, stable system because I don't have time for computer maintenance on a regular basis. I want someone else to make sure a piece of software doesn't crash my computer.
USB and card slots would have been nice, especially since it starts with only 16GB of storage. Even my netbook has 160GB. I guess streaming the cloud are the key here.
In conclusion, all you iPad naysayers can go screw yourself.

you forgot to mean the cost of a data plan(wifi doesn't cut it anymore), the cost of apps(its not the same as regular apps). Flash is a big deal and I applaud adobe for not giving in to apple's demands, even though i can't stand acrobat. And if you want a crash free environment, switch to linux, it is AWESOME!
wifi DOES still cut it. you can get wifi anywhere you go now. the cost of apps isn't an issue, i have job. besides, the cost goes along with the whole "I want someone else to make sure a piece of software doesn't crash my computer." thing. you saying flash is a big deal is just as valid as me saying its not a big deal. you feel you need it just as much as i feel i don't. i don't care about adobe's war with apple (or apple's war with adobe) but i will applaud apple for marketing a successful product without needing flash. switching to linux would be just like going back to windows except its just more stable. it's stable because like mac os, no one bothers to try and take it down on a daily basis. i will not go to linux because there's no one there to push updates to me and I don't want an os that has less support than my mac. i'll go back to windows first. i'm not trashing your opinions, i'm just saying that i am politely disagreeing with your opinions on the ipad/apple/windows.
