Doun't Minde Me.

I had a friend from the Philippines (who was here visiting) ask me once why I spelled things differently. I told her it was the Canadian way of spelling. Like rumour, or neighbourhood, or colour. She asked why it was like that and I had no idea, that's just the way we spell it in Canada. Does anyone know where this comes from? Is it some french influence or some shit like that?

it's the British way of spelling or something... it was the Americans who changed the spellings of certain words when they seperated from the British empire.... i heard or read this somewhere so don't quote me if i'm wrong.
